Rosoboronexport to discuss threats & risks with foreign partners at Moscow Conference

Rosoboronexport JSC (part of Rostec State Corporation) is taking part in the IX Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS 2021) organized by Russia’s Ministry of Defenсe, which will be held from June 22 to 24, 2021.

“Rosoboronexport, one of the major players in the global arms market, is now highly interested in maintaining stability and balance on the planet. A key role in global and regional security issues belongs to the Defenсe ministries, which will be represented at the Moscow Conference by high-level delegations. The architecture of the forum will enable us, together with the Russian Ministry of Defenсe and partners from the Asia-Pacific region, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Europe, to discuss various aspects of security, identify current trends and set priorities in Russia’s military-technical cooperation,” said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport.

Within the conference, Rosoboronexport will be actively involved in sessions on strategic stability, uncontrolled spread of weapons, and cyber threats. The company’s representatives will discuss security issues and the threat of an arms race in the Asia-Pacific region, risks and challenges in Latin America, military-technical cooperation with countries in the Middle East and Africa, as well as take part in discussions on stability and strengthening collaboration among the States on the European continent.

Because of the persistent Covid-19 pandemic, communication with partners will be conducted both face-to-face and via video conferencing.

Rosoboronexport will enable Russian Defenсe companies to showcase their advanced weapons and military hardware, as well as dual-use and civilian products at its stand and in the outdoor display area on the territory of the conference.

At the company’s stand, Rostec’s Kalashnikov Concern will demonstrate Kalashnikov AK-100 and AK-200 series, AK-12 and AK-15 assault rifles, Lebedev PLK pistol and SVDS sniper rifle.

Rosoboronexport will exhibit full-scale models of the Strela light armored vehicle and VPK-233136M Atlet armored vehicle produced by the Military Industrial Company (VPK), the GAZ-3409 Bobr (Beaver) tracked snow and swamp-going vehicle and the GAZ-3344-20 articulated tracked tractor from the Zavolzhsky Tracked Tractor Plant, as well as the K-4386 Typhoon-VDV armored vehicle produced by Remdiesel.

In addition, Rosoboronexport will tell representatives of foreign countries about the forms of cooperation offered today, in particular, technology transfer, joint development and opportunities for licensed and joint production of Russian products on the territory of partner countries.
