Rafael Appoints Dr. Judith Hocherman-Frommer as EVP for Research and Development

Haifa (Israel): Rafael Advanced Defense Systems has announced the appointment of Dr. Judith Hocherman-Frommer as its incoming Executive Vice President for Research and Development.

Dr. Hocherman-Frommer holds a Doctor of Science (Sc.D.) in Electrical Engineering from the Technion. Since joining Rafael nearly 20 years ago, Dr. Hocherman-Frommer has held several senior engineering, and research and development positions within the company. Today, she is the Deputy Head of Research and Development in Rafael’s Air and Intelligence Systems Division.

Dr. Hocherman-Frommer is replacing Dr. Irit Idan who has served as EVP for Research and Development for the past five years and recently completed a significant and impactful 27-year career within Rafael.

Announcing the nomination, Rafael President and CEO, Gen. (res.) Yoav Har-Even commented on the vast amount of knowledge and experience that Dr. Judith Hocherman-Frommer brings to the position – pertaining both to Rafael and the practice of research of development- and her deep familiarity with Israel’s defence establishment, academia, and civilian industries.

Har-Even thanked Dr. Irit Idan for your many years of immeasurable service both to Rafael and to Israel’s national security, highlighting the groundbreaking technologies developed during her tenure and are now central elements of Israel’s defence.
